T.E.A.C.H. MINNESOTA offers two scholarships related to the National Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.

CDA assessment fee scholarship: For child care center employees or family child care providers who have completed the 120 hours of training and/or coursework required for the credential. The scholarship helps pay for the direct assessment fee, which is paid to the Council of Professional Recognition prior to the CDA observation. Additionally, the T.E.A.C.H. office sends the Council the direct assessment application; this should be included with your T.E.A.C.H. application paperwork.

CDA training for college credit: For child care center employees or family child care providers who are taking for-credit college classes towards the training requirement for the CDA credential. Currently this scholarship covers CDA for-credit education at the following colleges: Dakota County Technical College; Leech Lake Tribal College; Mesabi Range Community and Technical College; and Minnesota West Community and Technical College.
