Legally nonlicensed providerS Serving families receiving CCAP
Some families receive help paying for child care through the Child Care Assistance Program. To work with families who are part of this program, you can become a legally nonlicensed provider.
New training requirements
- Effective Nov. 1, 2011: Newly registering nonlicensed providers serving families receiving CCAP must complete First Aid and CPR training before being authorized for CCAP payments.
- As of Jan. 1, 2012: All nonlicensed family providers must meet the First Aid and CPR training requirements upon renewal of their provider registration that occurs on or after Jan. 1, 2012.
- Providers who have met the First Aid and CPR training requirement for one registration period must take eight hours of additional training listed in the Minnesota Center for Professional Development Registry before the county will approve the next registration.
