The Minnesota Child Care Resource & Referral Network provides leadership and support to a statewide system of non-profit agencies dedicated to helping families find quality child care and supporting child care providers.

Mission

To provide statewide leadership in shaping collaborations that build a diverse, high quality child care system accessible to all Minnesota families through local resource and referral services.

This Mission is accomplished through:

  1. Supporting Parent Choice: The Minnesota Child Care Resource and Referral Network ensures that local CCR&R programs have the information they need so that parents can make informed choices about all aspects of care for their children
  2. Building the Supply: The Minnesota Child Care Resource and Referral Network responds to gaps in the market by supporting recruitment and retention activities and the development of community partnerships
  3. Engaging Employers: Businesses benefit when parents can find and afford dependable, quality child care. The MN CCR&R Network supports local CCR&R efforts to engage the business community as a partner interested in supporting child care and the needs of their employees.
  4. Advocating for Improved Quality, Accessibility and Affordability: The Minnesota Child Care Resource and Referral Network works to identify and solve the major issues in the supply, demand, cost and quality of child care in Minnesota through advocacy efforts.
  5. Improving the Quality of Care and Education: Child Care Resource and Referral's (CCR&R's) build connections for providers and programs by promoting the professional growth and development of child care program staff and family child care providers through grants, resources, training, consultation and mentoring.

The MNCCRR Network receives the majority of its funding through a grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
