The Sabes Jewish Community Center, in St. Louis Park,  is searching for an Assistant Director for our Early Childhood Center (ECC).  This individual will work with the ECC Director in the development and implementation of ECC programs; ensure compliance with performance standards and recognizing best practices in early childhood education; play a critical role in meeting the needs of children and families; and have an integral role in the fiscal management of the ECC. The candidate will strive for excellence and innovation of ECC programming in support of the Sabes JCC Mission and Values.   

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working with children and families, knowledge of child development, staff and fiscal management experience, a passion for education, and a willingness to foster a strong Jewish environment in the ECC.  A Bachelors Degree in education, child psychology, or other related fields and classroom teaching experience is required.  In addition, a minimum of two years related program and financial management experience is preferred.

Assistant Teacher or Teacher - Toddler Program

Salary based on education and experience, FT, 12 months

The King Family Foundation Child Development Center (CDC) is seeking an individual to serve as Assistant Toddler Teacher or Toddler Teacher who will aid in the operation of the Bethel University lab school. Based on individual’s degree and experience, the position will teach or assist the Lead teacher in teaching children enrolled in the toddler program. Teacher level requires a current State Department of Education Pre-Kindergarten License (Elementary Education with preprimary specialty or Early Childhood, birth – 8), or a Baccalaureate degree in Family/Child Development, and two years of related work experience. Assistant Teacher level requires a CDA certification, or meeting Rule 3 requirements for Assistant teacher, and support of the mission of the university. The individual should have demonstrated cultural sensitivity, organizational ability, strong oral and written communication skills, and the proven ability to work effectively with a broad range of people. Individual must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time, lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and climb short ladders. The King CDC is located in the Frogtown-Summit-University neighborhood and is an urban ministry.
