Child Care Centers

Minnesota Rules, Chapters 9503.0005 to 9503.0175 (or Rule 3) govern the licensing requirements of child care centers. You can visit the state web site at: Rule 9503 to view the full set of Rule 3 requirements.

Child Care Center training requirements are found in part 245A.40.

Before and After School (SAC) Programs not operating in a licensed child care center may not need to be licensed. Sites may include schools, recreation centers, or places of worship.
