Early Childhood Assessment Program

In partnership with the Minnesota Department of Human Services and community agencies, Metropolitan State University's Early Childhood Assessment Program (ECAP) provides experiential learning assessments and educational pathways to enhance Minnesota's early childhood industry.  Participants can receive college credits: 1) through individual experiential learning assessment where they get college credits for what they know in early childhood, and 2) through taking  courses or training workshops that are not sponsored by Metropolitan State University but have been assessed by ECAP and pre-approved for Prior Learning credits.  Participants who have taken the following training in the last two years can apply to receive college credits: Infant Toddler Training Intensive (up to 4 semester credits), Project EXCEPTIONAL (up to 2 credits),  Building Cultural Connections (1 credit), and Not By Chance (1 credit).

For more information about the Early Childhood Assessment Program, please visit Metro State's Web site at www.metrostate.edu/ecap .
