Sharing the Wisdom of Many Voices Conference

By Julie Wasiluk

After ten years of successfully extending professional development opportunities to trainers and leaders from the early childhood and school age care field at an annual fall conference, the Sharing the Wisdom of Many Voices planning committee has opted for a spring event in 2007. The conference will be held at the Southwest Marriott Hotel in Minnetonka, Minnesota on April 27 & 28.

In 2006, the planning committee designed a special event for center directors/administrators on pre-conference day followed by sessions that focused on issues relevant to their role in providing leadership and assistance to the care professionals who work directly with children. As a result of the outstanding evaluations, a track for directors will once again be offered in 2007 and a track for consultants will be considered as well.

Building on the "Pearls of Wisdom" theme from the 2006 conference, the committee has chosen to go "Beyond the Pearls" to plan an exciting and educational event. Registration materials will be available in January. Don't miss this excellent opportunity to bolster your skills and connect with peers who share you passion for educating and supporting others in the field of early childhood and school age care!
