ETL Trainers “Papers, Papers, Papers: Why so Many? At Eager-to-Learn we provide you with the tools to make both the instructors and students experience successful. With this goal in mind it has always been our intention to deliver a similar format and have similar expectations in all of our courses. Our students come in and expect that each course will have the same “feel” to it. Having this “feel” is not only about the visual aesthetics of the course, it is also about the expectations for their work all the way down to how the * is used is used in chat. Seems petty sometimes, but I think our growth speaks to the hard work we do to provide a quality product. Having expectations in place helps us to be proactive vs. reactive, we try to stay ahead of the game by anticipating student concerns and preparing for them. Following this line of thinking requires that our expectations be responsive to the needs of the program. Having responsive expectations means that there will be changes. We make changes based on programmatic expectations, feedback from instructors and students and new innovations in online learning. Of course all of these wonderful things mean new papers!! To be efficient in delivering the new paper work the procedure that we follow is that if a new document is produced, an email will come out with the document and a description of what its intent is. The newest document will always be posted in the instructor documents page. Sometimes the documents will require you to make changes to your syllabus but I believe that we have really learned a lot the first five years and these changes may be minimal in the future. The idea of having synonymous documents is to ease the work for you and provide clarity for our students. Another note on the syllabus is that while we have a template that we use for the format, we encourage you to use your own creative instruction ideas for adding content. You are a part of our team because we believe in your abilities to deliver a great Eager-to-Learn course. Thanks for your continued hard work in making Eager-to-Learn number one! Without deviation from the norm, 'progress' is not possible.
