I am very excited to be joining the Network! I spent the past four years as Child Development Specialist at Greater Minneapolis Day Care Association, where I did primarily on-site consultation, training and technical assistance, as well as assisting parents of children with Special Needs in finding and retaining child care. I worked at Ramsey Action Programs (now Community Action Partnership) Head Start from 1993-2002 as both a home visitor and Special Needs case manager. I have always loved visiting early childhood classrooms because I can join the energy and sense of the present moment that young children have—it reminds me of what's really important. Besides my work life, my time is spent enjoying my 19-year-old while she still lives with me, walking my Great Dane, and various messy creative projects, including scenic painting for St. Anthony Village Community Theater. I look forward to my time here at the Network.
My name is Tina Newville-Lines and I provide administrative support to the Professional Development team at MNCCR&R. I am new to the professional world of early childhood and I am impressed with the dedication and professionalism of everyone at the Network! As a community volunteer, youth advocate, and mother to four, I am concerned for all of Minnesota 's kids. I am appreciative of how much effort the Network puts into the care, safety, and education of our kids and the people who care for them. I have worked in the nonprofit sector in employment services, fundraising, communications, and administrative support and I am working towards my undergraduate at St Kate's. Although most of my time is spent on work, school, the family (we sit down to dinner 5 nights a week!), volunteering, and working on my writing portfolio, I like to make time to watch movies at home or go out with grown-up friends! |
